Does anyone have a favorite book that they like to read? I like to read books by Stephen King.

I love Stephen King, Dean Koontz who I am convinced (IS Stephen King under alias) James Lee Burke is the best in his genre: his Dave Robicheaux books are like going home again even though I have never been to LA, Iris Johansens, Stephanie Plum novels are a riot they are written by Janet Evanovich , and then there is the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
I'll read just about anything except math books and romance novels. Lawrence Block and his Matthew Scudder novels are great - I love Elaine and Matt's relationship. Ed McBains novels of the 87th precinct are wonderful. Terry Prachett's Discworld series gives you a whole new prespective on the world. I know there are a whole lot more but I have not had my first pot of coffee yet.

I also have been a fan of Dean Koontz up until "By The Light Of The Moon". It was extremely disappointed with the book, I haven't read one of his books since then. I am a huge fan of Patricia Cornwell, and James Patterson. I tend to go through spurts of reading book after book and then won't puck up another book for months. I also adore any kind of chick book. I love to read and started to do something nice for myself.
I get a good book and try my best to read it ONLY on the treadmill. That way I'm anxious to "walk" and the time goes by so fast.
Judy PNW who just finished reading John Grishams new book "The Appeal" and hated the ending.

I just lovely trashy historical romance novels- with pirates, horses, helpless maidens who then turn out to get smart etc, based in 1900 or 1800's and usually PG in nature
